Jessica Hope Restrepo
Jessica Hope began studying Pilates in 1993 while attending New York University where she received her BFA in dance. She had the opportunity to study with Master teacher Kathy Grant. This is where she began to see the beautiful marriage between dance and Pilates. After experiencing the benefits of Pilates Jessica wanted to share this passion with others. She has a love of movement and a love of teaching. In 2001 she was certified by Dawn Marie Ickes and Allyson L. Cabot, owners of Core Conditioning. Jessica is certified on all apparatus as well as mat. She understands the body's movement from a dancer's perspective as well as an athletic one. Pilates can be used to help anyone from dancers to athletes and those recovering from injury. Jessica is constantly seeking out new methods of teaching to bring more variety and better results to her clients. "Once a student, always a student." Her mission is to help others achieve balance within their own bodies, minds, in hopes to improve their quality of life.
As well as teaching Jessica has a very successful dance career. She has danced for many notable choreographers and dance companies including Ann Reinking and David Parsons. Some of her theater credits include; Broadway: Hot Feet, Fame on 42nd St. as well as the National and European Tours of Fame. Broadway National Tour: Saturday Night Fever and Fame.
