Jessica Harrington

Jessica's profession and movement theories began as a ballerina in kindergarten when she would dance like a flower growing up from underneath the ground. Today, Jessica applies similar principles of basic dancing to her yoga and pilates practice, focusing primarily on the creative and organic qualities both disciplines embody. Jessica has been teaching dance for over ten years, so teaching yoga and Pilates became natural components of her teaching repertoire. Having received her teaching certification from the Laughing Lotus College of Yoga, NYC, Jessica has taught yoga at several gyms and schools throughout the greater New York City area. Jessica received her Pilates training and certifications from Teri Lee Steele at Dance New Amsterdam, NYC. Jessica is also a certified private trainer through the National Association of Sports Medicine, NASM. Currently, Jessica teaches and trains at The Yoga Room, Columbia University, and serves on faculty as an adjunct professor in the Sports Science department at Long Island University, Brooklyn.
