Pilates Mat-Beginner Class

Pilates Beginner is the fundamentals of the mat work. In this class you will learn the basic principles and a series of exercises upon which the entire Pilates method is built. You will increase your body awareness, breath coordination, strength, flexibility and physical ease. This encourages students to work deeply and will improve posture, core strength, and form. Heavy emphasis on abdominal strengthening. A necessity at every fitness level.

Pilates Mat-Intermediate Class

Pilates Intermediate builds on the beginner class reviewing the fundamentals while moving on to the more challenging exercises and repertoire. This class is designed for experienced pilates students. Learn the cadence and rhythm of a more aerobic mat. This class will consist of a warm-up, an up-to-tempo sequence through the level II mat work You will deepen core and movement control. Pilates experience necessary.

"Hot Bodies" Hot Pilates

A series of specific exercises executed on the mat. Hot Bodies has all the benefits of a Pilates mat class, adding the element of heat which makes this a high calorie burning class. You will stretch deeper, get your heart rate up and work your core. The class will focus on movements for core strengthening, and will target all muscles for strength, power and flexibility The high temperature increases blood flow and burns calories while sweating out toxins. Core strength is instrumental for developing a healthy spine enhancing one's yoga practice, performance in other sports and everyday activities. Accessible to all levels. We recommend prior Pilates experience. This class will give you the abdominals of your dreams!

Pilates — "On the Ball"

This fun and challenging class uses the stability ball to instinctively engage your core muscles, build your overall strength while improving balance and core control. This Pilates mat class will make your abs and entire body realize that you did something different.

"Custom Group Pilates Classes"

Want to put your own group of four or five, or even two together for a specific day and time? We can tailor mat and equipment classes to your group's ability. Please inquire at the studio.

* All levels of Pilates classes may make use of props (ie: rollers, rings, balls and therabands) either to make an exercise easier, increase the challenge, or to add variety.
