Gerry became interested in Chinese Medicine through the study of Chinese martial arts. After witnessing his teachers treat students with massage, herbs, acupuncture and chi-gong, his interest in Chinese medicine was sparked. In 1997 Gerry had the pleasure to live with his teacher Master Yang Fu-Kui. Master Yang taught Gerry the fundamentals of Chinese Medicine, as well as tai-chi and chi-gong. In 2004 Gerry graduated from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine's New York campus. After four years of classroom and clinical study, he earned a Master of Science degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine. Gerry then traveled to China where he studied in several Beijing hospitals. He is now a licensed Acupuncturist in New York State and is nationally board certified in both Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology (NCCAOM). He has completed extensive post-graduate training in Tui-Na (Chinese bodywork), as well as advanced courses in acupuncture and herbal medicine. Gerry has been treating patients at the Yoga Room since 2005.

NY State Licensed Acupuncturist & Board Certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Leah grew up visiting Western and Eastern Medicine practitioners, in Korean Community here in New York. She received her Masters of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine from The Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. She continues to study weekly with her teacher to deepen her understanding of it’s philosophies and applications. Her Love and respect of Eastern Medicine stems from the it’s basic principle of “Qi”. “Qi”- Breath of Heavan, it’s expression is the life force that is a part of everything that exist and sustains all living beings. “Qi”- it’s dual nature of material/matter & immaterial/energy, the polarity of yin & Yang. Eastern Medicine’s perspective of health is the balanced flux of “Qi”, all healing may it be from internal forces to external applications are at the service of “Qi”. Leah is excited to contribute to the “Qi” at The Yoga Room.
